In the cause of the advancement of the Gospel, God uses his servants to do unusual things for an unusual God. Such was the ministries of Dr. Gary E. Forney. God called him in 1975 to reach the people in the Arctic region of the world with the good news. This not an easy place to live, yet alone minister. Dr. Forney and his wife did so successfully for 21 years, and God used him to establish several churches that continue to reach many with the Gospel. In 1996, Dr. Forney established Points North Baptist Mission under the authority of Calvary Baptist Church to further and broaden the vision to reach the people of the circumpolar region of the world. There are today several families working and building churches because of Br. Forney’s influence and assistance.

In December of 2021, God decided to call Bro. Forney to heaven and his reward. We here at All Points Baptist Mission desire to advance the vision for the people groups in the Arctic, many of which remain without a gospel witness. To do so, we are establishing the Arctic Missionary Foundation. The purpose of the foundation will be to assist new families who are called to reach the people of the Arctic. The money in the foundation will be used to assist these qualified families who desire to go and be trained on the field by one of our experience Arctic missionaries. We will also use some of the money to publicize the great need and engage new families for this particular field.

We are reminded at this time what God said to Joshua, “…as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” We believe God will raise up more families to reach the unreached of the Arctic and will use them just as he did Dr. Gary Forney.
